My sweet man is already 11 weeks old. I spent this morning putting away a bin of clothes that he has already outgrown. I am absolutely in love with where he is right now but I am also heartbroken that the tiny newborn phase is basically over. I saw a picture on instagram yesterday of someone’s fresh new baby, still in the hospital. My first thought was of how tiny the baby looked and how it still had the puffy eyes and imperfect skin and was wrapped in a hospital blanket. For the first time since Paxton’s birth I realized that I would never experience that again. And for a split second I was sad. And then I looked at my sweet chunky boy and was instantly filled with mushy-gushy love all over again. He is just delicious. He is smiling a lot and “talking” a lot and his baby rolls continue to grow. I am just so overwhelmingly in love with him. I know our newborn days are over but we have so much fun ahead of us and I am trying my best to enjoy him just where he is right here and now.
