Earlier this year we did a milestone session in the studio with this adorable little guy to celebrate his first birthday. He is a few months older than my youngest and I remember watching him during this session and grinning knowing that all the adorable things he was doing would soon be happening in our house as well. He was crawling and engaging with toys. He had a silly grin and wandered over to mommy from time-to-time for a little reassurance. He was starting to walk while holding mom’s hands. It was all so exciting to see. Plus this guy was pretty cute to watch:)
One thing that I love about working with young families is how easy it is to relate to them. You see, I am in the same boat. I have little ones and we are fighting the same battles and celebrating the same successes at our house. I am always able to strike up a conversation with moms about how their baby is sleeping, the latest baby product, opinions on school choices and their birth experience. Sure, we all have different thoughts on all things motherhood, but we share so much of the same story. Having this similar connection of raising little people gives me a sense of friendship with clients- many of whom I have never met before. I feel like my clients are also my tribe. Just one more reason I love the families that make up SGP.
