Our little guy is already 6-weeks-old. Time is flying by in our house. He is awake more and showing us his personality.

Things are also getting more and more tricky to manage by the day. The big kids are home for the summer and need attention and the baby needs to be fed/rocked/changed/held… you get the drill. I find myself having 20 minute increments of time throughout the day. Each time I have a “break” I am trying to do as many things as possible- respond to an email, fold a load of laundry, pick up a few toys and return a phone call. And then, time’s up. And the cycle starts over again.

I have so little time to myself and honestly it is starting to get to me. I know this is normal and I wouldn’t change a thing about it but MAN, can I just get a pedicure and some sleep already! I am starting to get my brain back, I am getting used to little sleep and kind of have energy and yet I have no time to do anything for myself. What I want to do more than anything else….is shoot again!

I still have another 10 days until I “officially” go back to work but I am so excited to start shooting again that I snuck in a couple of shoots early. I was in serious withdrawal! It was wonderful to work with clients again and shoot but it has been SO hard to find time to get on the dang computer. I am so anxious to cull through images and edit and share work but it is challenging to find the time… So where does this leave me? I go back to work in just a few days and I have no time to work. What am I going to do?!?!?

Here is the plan: I am going to take it one day at a time. I LOVE my tiny new baby and our new family dynamic and I LOVE my job. I have no idea how it will all fit together but I am confident that it will. Every day will probably look different. I know that I will be stretched a little (or a lot) thin. But I also know I am so so SO excited to get back to work and see how this next chapter is going to look.

This next series cracks me up. My middle child was torn between playing angry birds and loving on his fussy brother. He was trying to multitask but in the end, angry birds won:)

The remainder of these images could be titled, “Big sister and her baby”. My daughter cannot get enough of her baby brother. She wants to hold him all the time. All. The. Time. It is neat to see how mature she is with him. She is a genuine help and I am so thankful for her patience with him.
